Please read through this checklist before you start the enquiry form:
If your enquiry is about directly buying or building houses for the homeless, then that’s wonderful, but head straight to our Housing the Homeless page and complete your enquiry there.
Generally, our projects work best when you already own your building or land, where there is surplus land or development space above to build private flats, and where you already have a project start-up fund. The best projects for us are where we can create cross-subsidy from building some private housing and then releasing the value to cross-subside your church or community building.
If your enquiry is about converting an old church or building, these projects can often prove unviable. So just make sure you have done the basics on working out what you think you can do, before submitting an enquiry.
If your enquiry is about acquiring land to do a development (eg a church redevelopment) unless you have the funds to buy the site, then this adds another considerable cost into the project. Is the site big enough to build your new facilities as well as some housing for cross subsidy? Do you have an option agreement on the site, to allow time for planning and proper due diligence?
